Poking around under fore and aft decking of my Slikker I note that Leon hisself has added batten boards here and there to "stiffen" wood sub decking.<br />---------------therefore--------------<br />insteada using 5/8 0r 3/4 ply flooring, i'm gonna go with 1/2 fir ply and add 1/2"x2"x??long ply battens located to suit to increase floor stiffness. Orient batts perpendicular to stringers. Glue and glass 'em in like Leon did.<br />----seems like a light weight method to stiffen the wood, so to speak--------
