I was sold (didn't catch) a deep cycle the other day for starting the 75 Rude. Brand new battery started fine day on the water last week.

Carver's batteries prob 5 years old, prob need replaced as evidenced during last weekend trip had to charge to get the electronic ignition to work. Started once this morning, now not, showing ~11.5 volts on both. OK if I get back up to 12.xx prob will start again..

Pull the Rude (new) battery and put in the Carver to just test and dead, nada no clicking or nothing. Put back on the Rude, same - not even trim hum.

Put on charger, it told me 'charged' green light and everything. At 11:20 am pulled off charger and looked and was 11.8 V but noticed it dropping.

20 min later 11.1V

Why?
