Re: Battery booster

I personally would not get one the battery in them is a 17AH battery and cannot provide much current they are SLA jelly cells. St the begining and end of the season do a drop test on the starter battery, if all good then keep if not get another bat.

Re: Battery booster

Jump start packs are like anything else, you get what you pay for. You don't need an air compressor on a boat so why not buy a better quality unit with a higher capacity -- but without the compressor. That said -- a jump start pack on a boat is a good idea, especially if you have only one battery. However, if you are one to run a questionable battery, then your money would be better spent on a new battery. If you have more than one battery, a set of jumper cables is all you need.

Re: Battery booster

You would be money ahead carrying a spare charged battery on board with jumper cables.

Re: Battery booster

I have that or a similar model it works fine. starts quite a few times before charging. I ussually use it in the boat in the summer and the truck in the fall winter. better than jumper cables.

Re: Battery booster

isnt the "battery booster" just a battery in a box with some leads coming off?
