Recently got a 1985 Johnson J90TLCOS 90 hp Outboard, came with no power cables to goto the battery, never had to replace them before so wondering what you guys would recommend getting.
you can buy OEM stuff but good booster cables say 6 ga should work and cheaper. Use 4 ga if the cable run is " long" . You could slide a sheet or two of shrink tubing ( about 1 inch size) sold by the foot and shrink it over the booster cable for added protection. Ends will need proper connectors you can crimp on or solder on.
of course and depending on local CG rules and possibility of inspection non-marine grade cable may be a no-no ! up to you !
