Battery Charger Problems

I just replaced my battery charger with a new Guest 3 bank 30 amp charger/converter. When I hooked it up I noticed the AC wire feeding the charger was very warm and the charger was putting out 32 amps. I disconnected all of the red battery leads from the charger and it was still putting out the 32 amps. It was'nt until I disconnected the DC ground the the charger showed nothing on the amp meter. There was also a good spark when I disconnected the DC ground.<br />I brought the charger home and hooked it up in the garage and it works fine. Any ideas?

Re: Battery Charger Problems

Sound like either your batteries are badly drained and the charger was pumping out it's full rated output or you have a short.
