thinking about putting a battery disconnect/keyed battery master switch on my 99 model sea doo. having problems with the battery being drained down. thought about a switch listed at Overton's, with a 100 amp max rating. cost is about $20

if the switch is placed on the negative side of the battery, do I have to worry with the exposed parts of the switch? will not be permanently mounted, but placed in an empty spot in engine compartment. just wanting to make sure not a danger doing it this way.

thanks

The Seadoo DESS is a constant drain, thus if the boat is stored in a secure area a disconnect is a necessity.

I mounted mine on a short piece of aluminum channel, secured to the U-bracket that holds down the battery.

I wouldn't leave it loose and flopping around - its an electrical component with exposed terminals.

Buy it here on IBoats...
