I have a 2002 center console 1903 Trophy with t top. I am having problems with electrical power. When I turn on the battery switch I have no electrical power to any of the systems on my boat, I have changed the battery switch, batteries are charged, changed the 2 fuses at the batteries, water is good in the batteries, no corrosion on terminals. I have tried battery one battery 2 and both, starting and just raising the engine with the switch on the engine nothing no power what so ever. I hope someone can help I am at a loss.

Check the main circuit breaker. Check and clean all your wiring from the battery to the battery switch, then from switch to the engine. Don't forget your grounds, they are just as important as the power side of the system. Inspect clean and tighten all connections, just follow each cable from end to end. You could use a test light to perform all the tests you need for this problem.

Re: Battery issue?

The fact that you "cleaned" the battery terminals and got some things working means you probably have a lot of other terminals to clean as well. Sometimes terminals "look" okay but have a lot of corrosion in between the terminals that can't be seen. So clean every terminal you come across AND the fuse terminals as well. That way they will be ready when you find the terminal(s) that are causing your problem...

Re: Battery issue?

Just wanted to thank everyone for your advise. Well poured over the book for my 150 mercury and found fuses in the engine, sure enough there was one that was blown. I never realized that there were fuses in the wiring harnesses of this engine. Btw its a 2002. Hey, at least i have new batteries and a battery switch. Thanks again.
