battery placement on 16ft Alumn.

I'm getting ready to re-do the electrical system on my 16ft v-bow Crestlliner, and was wondering where the best place was to put the batteries? In the bow close to the trolling motor, or towards the back? Thanks for any info!

In my limited experence i've found the more weight up front the better to plane Within reason of course :redface:
