Battery question--15hp electric start

I just purchased an '86 Evinrude 15hp with electric start and need to buy a battery. I have a 11ft whaler so I'd like to buy a small battery to fit under the console. Should I look for any specific type? The manual indicates 215 CCA so I know I needs that as a min.

Also, is it difficult to change the battery cables on this motor?

Just be sure to get a marine grade battery. The battery cables aren't to bad to change actually. I have a 1988 Johnson 15hp with electric start (virtually the same as yours) and it's been a good motor for my use. Have had no issues at all.

Thanks for the reply. I'll take a closer look at the cables and look for a marine grade battery.
