battery question

i just bought a new battery and wanted to know if i can charge it up and still leave my wires conected to it. will this hurt my electric start 9.9? thanks.

Yes, you can charge battery with it hooked up.<br /><br /> No, it won't hurt your motor.<br /><br /> What I do is. Hook up battery connections first , then plug in charger/ turn on.<br /><br /> I dont like the arcing that happens when done , with charger energized.<br /><br /> Good - Luck,<br /><br /> KYHunter

Don't exceed the amp rating of your engines charging system when charging with leads connected.
