battery wiring

in my 2nd battery compartment i have a fused red wire, a fused orange wire a black wire, and a black with blue diaganol stripping . how do they get hooked up. when i wire in the black stripped to ground the red fuse blows.

That's a pretty wide open question without more details. . . <br /><br />Theoreticaly the red and orange would go to your hot terminal and the black and black striped to the ground, HOWEVER - you should really find out what each wire goes to before hooking them up.<br /><br />Also, if you're blowing a fuse every time you hook up a ground wire, you have a problem with the wiring upstream somewhere that needs to be dealt with (a short or bad component) before hooking up the rest.<br /><br />Figure out what's upstream, and what wires run to what and report back, someone will be able to help you troubleshoot the electronics, or in a worst case, to rewire them!

The solid black wire should be the Ground.I think you are going to ruin your wiring if you keep guessing.
