Get a cheap car battery with post adaptors unless you are running things like an electric trolling motor or other electric appliances then get a deep cycle.
If it's only for starting the motor then get cheapest they got. Any car battery can turn over that outboard. Doesn't take squat for cranking amps compared to a car engine.
