bayliner capri power trim not working correctly

the power trim on my 1993 bayliner capri, that has a 3.0 liter i/o, does not work properly. the trim down button on the throttle handle works properly as does the trailer trim up button. the trim up button, on the other hand does not work at all. please help!

check your trim limit switch or trim position switch
