I have just purchased a 1993 Bayliner 2052 Cuddy and I would like to know if the stringers are made with wood or composite. I found one small hole on the outside bottom pass rear about a 2" long by .5" wide. Should I just patch it and not worry or should I be worried about the stringers? The rest of the boat is almost mint and has been dry stored until about 6-8 months ago.

Re: Bayliner Construction

Unfortunately rot in the stringers and transom has resulted in much pain for Bayliner owners. Check the void spot for rot and if there is none glass it in with resin - not poly). If you find rot get out your wallet & roll up your sleves as many have done.
