Re: Bayliner L Drive parts

I found parts for mine a while back at a used outboard parts store in Portland http://www.outboardsalvage.com/

Your best calling some of these salvage companies directly, often they can refer you to someone who might have the part your looking for. What exactly do you need?

Re: Bayliner L Drive parts

I had an "L" drive. I was concerned about availability of parts and when I questioned my mechanic about this, he told me that almost all of the internal parts are interchangable with regular outboard parts.

What is it that you're looking for?

What's an "L" drive? I googled it but didn't find much useful info except for posts from people trying to fix one....

So what was the big idea behind it? Just a lightter, smaller I/O package? Weird.....

Re: Bayliner L Drive parts

I've had one for 2 1/2 years, and with a little maintenance, it works great. The biggest problem I've had is finding parts. Other than that it runs great, like any other force outboard. It probably was not there best idea though.
