What do you think of this boat (I know about the bayliner thing) I'm thinking about buying a used one (1991 26' with 150 Force ) Like the cat hull
because the bay in DE is shallow and my dixie v-hull is too low in the water.

PS: I do not what to buy a pontoon boat and the Rendezvous is the only boat I have seen that has a shallow draft and is able to pull a skier. Maybe some other builder make a boat like the Rendezvous?

Re: Bayliner Rendezvous?

I wouldnt buy a boat with a Force motor.
It is now a complete orphan.Mercury recently announced they will no longer support Force motors. And as I understand it parts were already
scarce as hens teeth. From the posts Ive seen
they tend to need a lot of them.
I have heard the larger Bayliners are suposed to be better than the smaller ones. That wouldnt be hard to do.
A 26 footer with a 150 sure wouldnt be a jackrabbit.A 19 ft 120 hp I would only call
average.

What about a tunnel drive inboard -- PennYan or similar (Shamrock)? That would give you shallow water capability, enough power, and about the size you are looking at.

oldboat1:
I looked at the web-sides of both of them, but it looks like both builder make fishing boats is that correct? I think I'm not ready for a boat like that, looking more for a deck boat.
But I do appreciate the info. Thanks :)

Try looking into Hurricane Deck Boats. They are built very well and are not that bad on price. They are made by Godfrey Marine. Stay away from Force Motors at all cost!!
