Wondering if you guys can help me. I bought 2003 bayliner capri with mercruiser 3.0 engine. Previous owner told me boat stalled few times. So i decided to rebuild carb. He has changed fuel filter and and distributor cap. Today was the first day that i could test the boat in the water. It starts and runs fine. Only issue i have is that when i push thrittle slowly in the gear. It goes in the gear and while i am pushing throttle it starts to increase speed but then stalls. It just shuts the engine at certain point. If i would push throttle fast all the way it will work fine. So this only happens at certain point. Can you guys point me in right direction. Thanks

Check your shift interrupter switch adjustment, probably moving and engaging slightly

I think its something with carb. Because i disconected throttle completely and tried with my hand and its happening after i move maybe a inch and only when i accelerate. If i do it fast and go WOT its fine. Also it doesnt happens when i deaccelerate. I have tried to play with links. Tried to make tighter or looser but it doesnt make difference. I am talking about accelaration pump link. I am thinking this must be vacuum. What do you guys think

IMO part accelerator pump, and part something still a bit clogged in the carb. Your transitioning from idle to main jets, and there is a lag, so adjust and/or clean. May just adjust the accelerator pump a bit and fix

Your accelerator pump seems to be working since you state that hitting the throttle quickly you have no issues.

I would double check float level/valve sticking. The slow accelation might not be enough to jar valve open as a sudden wot would. Just maybe..

Does this have to do aomething with little spring that goes in valve. I had option to install with spring or without but somebody said spring helps with sharp corners.
