Goto http://nadaguides.com

Click on boats. It will show you the boat value and will also list the hull weight(without the outboard)

Then do the same for the outboard and add the numbers.

Tom

Re: Bayliner weighs how much?????

The link you added...well, not so sure they are accurate. Does anyone have a 1794 70hp running good for only $110? yes it said $110. my boat was listed at under $1000. So, if i sold my boat for what they said - i would have people kicking my door down to buy it. Good site to get details of boat weight and stuff.
Thanks
Scott

Thanks guys, now I know, boat weighs 2300+/- and motor w/T&T is another 300lbs, plus gear and trailer, sounds like 3500lbs more or less. :)

Not so sure about the accuracy of the weight either. I own an '86 Four Winns Horizon that weighs 2200lbs according to the Four Winns website but is listed as 1600 lbs on the nada guides. It is an inboard as well.

Re: Bayliner weighs how much?????

From what I have seen on that site, you have to click on your exact model. It can't be close to it.The same with the outboards.

Boats with inboards are listed with the hull and inboard weight combined. It took some playing with it before I figured it out.

And it says, low and average for pricing.Dealers do not use that.According to them all boats are above average this time of year.I bought my boat last week of october.I used those guides AFTER I bought it and came up with exactly what I paid.

Food for thought:Best time to buy a used boat is late fall beginnning of winter.
Not sure if the weight listed on the nadaguides.com includes riggning and other gear.Maybe hull weight without any accessories.

DeltaR, the number you found on the FourWinds site,is that for the '86 model or current model year?
Tom

Tom the info I got on the Four Winns website was for my exact year make and model. A 600lb difference is quite a bit!

That NADA site is worthless to me. Neither my 1988 Jason bass boat or my 1994 Caravelle is listed.

Re: Bayliner weighs how much?????

Thanks to all for the comments, 2300 sounds better, my concern was using a class ll hitch, rated at 3500 total and 350 tongue max. The boat and trailer were sold new as a unit, and it has no brakes. :) I see no reason why it can't be weighed with a bathroom scale and a few 2x4's as levers, set it level, weight one axle tire weight using 2x4's as ratio levers, double and add tongue weight. I knew someday that college physics crap would come in handy, :D
