I don't want to stir the pot on the loves and hates of Bayliners. I have done "ALL" my homework and know what I want:"A BAYLINER  ". I wish to export it from the States. Can someone assist me with the following. I would like e-mail address's/internet site's for: magazines/trading posts/specialized newspapers, specializing in advertising boats for sale by private sellers. The East Coast would be a good start. I am seeking a trailerable Bayliner Cierra Sunbridge around the 2355 model. Can anybody help please.
Cheers
Phillip

That's a really good start Bondo....Thanks mate. :)
When you sell a boat in the USA, do you put it on line or in some type of paper or magazine??. I just keep thinking to myself, there has to be thousands of them out there for sale.
Cheers
Phillip

Phil , you are wise to buy a brand that is common to your area. Parts will be readily availible. Don't listen to these Yahoo's who rag the Bayliners. There is not a thing wrong with them. I have had mine a long time with not a problem in the world other than routine maintenance. Any brand will break down if you neglect it, Just this last Sunday, I saw a 1987 Bayliner Capri w/ a 85 HP force outboard towing a 2001 Sea Ray back to the ramps. Hmmmmmm. (I was in my Bayliner by the way.) It gave me a warm feeling all over. ;)

Re: Bayliners' "again"

Thanks for the help every body. Am slowly working through the sites. To explain quickly my reasoning,I will use as an example a:

1996 Bayliner Cierra Sundridge 2355, sells in Australia for approx US$43,500 (Australian $66,000).

If I got one from USA for around US$18,000, I would land it here in my yard (all shipping/taxes/freight)for US$28,412 (Australian $43,049). This is above nadaguides.com pricing.

That saves me around US$13,200 (Australian $20,000 plus.) :)

The Australian $ has risen considerably against the US$ lately, so for every cent it rises, my cost goes down by US$250 (Australian $378).

I am a businesman, and surprised some one hasn't jumped on me with the suggestion of a partnership. They buy them one end, I sell 'em of cheaper than the competition at the other. To be honest, havn't looked in to the rules and regulations of doing this. Just a dreamer. :p

PS I have checked the Dealer:
a new 2252 with trailer,is US$52,800
a new 2455 is US$76,000 full loaded.

Cheers
Phillip
