Hey guys, posting for the first time here. I'm facing an issue with the bearing carrier anode on a 2000 Alpha I outdrive. I've got the prop pulled off but I can not, for the life of me, get the bearing carrier anode to come off. The screws that attach the anode come out no problem but it will not budge. I've soaked it with PB blaster and still nothing. I'm afraid of doing some damage to other components so I thought I'd see if anyone here had any suggestions before I start chiseling it off in pieces.. I'm the 2nd owner of the boat so I'm replacing all of the anodes for the first time. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone ever have this issue? I don't think anything other than the prop and thrust washer need to be removed to allow it to slide off. Am I correct on that?

I'd take a long punch and give it a good smack with a hammer. Drive sideways against a tab to rotate it.
