Hi,i finally got my 98 sx outdrive back to gether after putting bellows in it.when i start up the engine i hear a whine like bb sound .its just enough to notice it about 2 feet from the outdrive.i used a screw driver to listen and think its coming from the bearing just behind the driveshaft.when i had it out i didnt feel anything, but at 600rpm it would change things.is this normal sound,or do you think it could be the bearing, obviously you cant hear it but if there is a normal sound to these that would help me.also i bought this from florida,do these still use a thermostat,i had it running for about 6 minutes and the gauge had not moved.i checked the gauge wire to ground and the gauge worked .i took out the sending unit and warmed it up and it changed ohms.i them hooked a 100 ohm resister to the gauge wire and it showed about 160 degres so i know it is working.is my water just running through it to fast to get it hot.or am i just not letting it run long enough.didnt know if salt water boats didnt use a t stat as mine is now in fresh water.many thanks in advance
