Bedlining the underside of the deck?

Took my toon Out for the first time this year. Noticed the exposed wood takes a beating underneath. Anyone see an issue with applying bedliner spray to the underside exposed wood? I think this would help the wood last longer too. Ideas??

Most people just go ahead and underskin w/ aluminum sheeting. You get the benefit of additional protection and usually good for 1-2 mph. Good luck !!!

And yes any type of coating directly applied to the wood will hold water and wont allow it to dry and make it rot faster. Thats why the under skinning in on the bottom of the cross members the void allows it to dry.

As stated...

Under skin with aluminum. NOT spray on. The wood needs to be allowed to dry. Water gets to it from TOP and bottom. If allowed to dry it will last a long time.

Sounds like you've decided against it which is the right decision. If you want to underskin I'd suggest only doing it for performance. That wood will last a long time.
