Will be installing all new bellows on my Mercruiser #1R this year. Is bellows adhesive still used?

Yep, still using adhesive. Mechanics recommend the Mercruiser OEM adhesive. I just replaced mine and used Goop (Marine) and it works just fine. After 5 rigorous days on the Colorado river it held perfectly.

Jason, make sure that you use either mercr.bellows adhesive or you can use 3m weatherstrip adhesive. It must be the type that is applied to both parts and allowed to dry then a slight coat on one part and put together.Other type of sealants will actually help it to slide off which you dont want.Marine goop is not what I would use.Charlie

Is such a 'glue' required for a Cobra drive bellows?
