First question, I'm getting ready to winterize my boat and when I pull the outdrive off I'm going to inspect the bellows and if they need replacing do so then. I have already bought some bellows, made by Mallory, and I seen on another post that these might not be the best choice to use. I don't want to use something that is going to give me trouble any sooner than it has to. Any thoughts?

Second question, does anybody make a light weight high performance exhaust manifolds for a 4.3 mercruiser with one piece exhaust

Thanks for any help.

Well, the fact that you'ra having doubts about putting pattern parts on says something.

I did my bellows last winter and made sure I got genuine Merc parts for the peace of mind, given how hard they are to get at and how critical a role they have.

Ill happily use pattern parts for some things but not anything critical like bellows or impellors.

Ayuh,... While I haven't used Mallory parts, I have heard Horror stories about 'em...

For exhaust manifolds,...
Ditch the 1 piece units, as they were Junk the day they were New...
Convert it to the standard 2 piece units...
