Bellows Question For the Pros

What’s the deal with the bellows adhesive? The manual says to use it, so I used it. But two of the three area service dealers don’t carry it and said they never use it. The third carried it, said the DIY crowd uses it, but they did'nt use it themselves. Is it an added safety thing like suspenders with a belt, or what.

It simply fixtures the bellow till the clamp is tight, makes the job easier

yes use it! the issue is there is a shortage of it. 1 company made it and there not anymore. stuff is like gold in central mi right now. bob

a.d,<br /> According to the Merc manual, the stuff is a 3M product. Last I heard they were still in biz….unless they discontinued that product.

must be the sierra stuff that is the issue. something was being made about it at a dealer confrence this winter. I use sierra rubber and glue on all my jobs.
