Re: Bellows replacement

which one are are you doing or all 3?

The exhaust is pretty easy the gymbal / drive shaft can be trickey.

Typically the bell housing can be / needs to be removed to do this procedure and that can make for a lot of work.

Re: Bellows replacement

I just finished doing all 3 on my alpha 1. All I can say is get an extra set of hands. It made things much easier.

Re: Bellows replacement

wow what a pain in the *** job that was... barely fit your hands in there. i took off the clamps and then put them on after the bellow was in and glued, (bad idea) or is that how its supposed to be done? hopefully its glued and wont leak :/ i think next time i might just pay someone haha

Re: Bellows replacement

Here's a little tip from a guy thats done 100s of these.Cut everything includinig the lower shift cable and spare the exhaust bellow. If you are at the point that those u joint bellows need replacing can that cable be far behind? It is much easier to assemble the rear of that bell housing on the bench than on your back in the yard.Be very carefull reinstalling the tilt pin as they can cross up.
