I have had my boat brand new since 98. A squeal when I first start up then when I adjust trim.Sometimes I have to readjust trim to get to stop squealing.
This has been an issue since I bought it and it got to where i kept a bottle jack and a board and a new belt with me all the time. Always breaking the alternator belt.I have the V-belts not serpentine.
I would use the jack and board to jack the engine up and remove a piece of an engine mounting bracket to get the new belt in. In fact I would always carry two belts. There would always be belt shavings on the lid of the engine cover just above the alternator.
I have had this boat sitting in storage since 2007 and was always garage kept so this boat is immaculate and my son wants to fix it up. I want t his resolved now that he wants it. I think this is a design issue and has there ever been a final resolution to this?
