My skeg gard was bent so I removed it and say the skeg was cracked underneath. I’ll remount but had two questions.

1). Should I put the broken piece inside the skeg gard to strengthen it?

2). How straight should the skeg be? the skeg is bent and the gard is as well.

thanks.

Faztbullet has answered that question in the past and he said that a bent guard will result in squirrely steering problems. I guess that translates to "straight".
