I bought an old 1972 boat that has all cream colored vinyl. Ive tried vinyl cleaners in the automotive section as well as windex and other basic products. Nothing really takes the grime off. What is the best methods you guys have found? Also I need to remove green build up on the bottom of the fiberglass hull, I've tried power-washing and scrubbing with soaps and mild chemicals. What products do you recommend for that. Thanks, Mike.

Stained Vinyl is almost impossible to clean. They do make Vinyl dye and or Spray Paint that works Kinda OK.

As for the hull you're prolly gunna need to use something with a mild acidic base. On & Off Gel Hull Cleaner works pretty well.

Re: Best Cleaning Products?

try magic erasers for your vinyl ..

If that dont work then switch up to Black Streak Remover+Magic eraser ( might need a hint or two of acetone Carfully and then some Vinyl Restore/Conditioner ).

Hull is On/Off .. Wear a respo and some full eye/body gear.

I have a 76 'glass open bow, and it was covered with mold residue all over the outside when I got it. Purple Power worked really well for me. I used a garden sprayer and applied it full strength, then let it soak for 10 minutes or so, then scrubbed it with a kitchen scrubber sponge and rinsed it off.

I really appreciate the feedback. I used the magic eraser with acetone sparingly and the vinyl looks brand new. Im going to buy the hull cleaner tomo and I will post pictures of the before and after. Interior looks perfect though. Thanks again.
