Best Control Cables for an '85 Sea Drive?

I need to replace both the throttle and shift cables on my Sea Drive. What is the best cable out there? Need 20' cables!
I have looked at the Teleflex and the Uflex and it seems both have a minimum radius of 8" but I would like to find somethng that can handle a tighter bend and move smoothly.
Any suggestions?

The best cables we've found are offered from Volvo believe it or not. You probably won't need less than an 8" radius anyway but the Volvo cables are very good. They're like a 33C so you'll need the end adaptors for OMC / Evinrude / Johnson.

Is it really necessary to have less than an 8" radius?? Tight bends are to be avoided. The longer the cable, and the more bends, and the tighter the bends, all contribute to hard to operate cables. It all adds up to your dis-advantage. Beyond the limit of your tolerance, you will hate them.

The way Wellcraft routed the cables through the transom in the center of the Sea Drive bracket it makes it difficult to stay outside the 8" bend and because of that I have never had easy to operate cables. I have changed them out three times in the past 20 years and I'm thinking of a slightly longer cable (1 ft.) to see if I can increase the bend coming out of the transom to make the cables easier to move.

Thanks for the suggestion on the Volvo cables!! What a difference in the operation of the binnacle, don't remember it ever being this smooth! Even though I did tweek the routing a bit I believe these cables made the difference. Hopefully they will be the last set I ever have to replace on my old 26 year old Wellcraft!!
