Well most people like Sunbrella canvas. Stainless steel framing is considered the premium, but the Aluminum ones are fine if you don't mind the plastic mount fixtures. I like the aft mounts to be of the solid pole type for safety, but straps forward for good adjustability. I have had one break under way while running into a heavy wind and it coulda been ugly . . .
The best looking ones are custom made with colors to match your boat and trim . . . I prefer a single color, dark bimini for ease on the eyes and they seem cooler. Standard blue is the best for fading. For 20 - 25 foot runabouts, I prefer three bow, and I like them mounted as low as possible to extend the time of the day they are usable, I also think this looks way better than a mega tall one. I want to be able to stand-up at the helm, but just barely.
