I would just tap the into the acc power and any ground, all the grounds are on a main bus meaning there is one giant ground and one main posative and everything is taken off of those.
I will cut a small part out of the sheath, split the wire and insert the new one then crimp and solder it and then tape it up, that way you aren't actually cutting any wires, done it that way for years and never had one fail just make sure you are on the fused side.
As a tip get an old towel or something under where you are soldering so if any drops it won't burn your carpet.
