best product for fiberglass restoration

I have a fiberglass boat that the gel coat is in need of some serious help. It sun faded from a previous owner that left it ouside. What is the best product to help restore the shine for longer than a couple of weeks?

Hi RV..

There are a number of good rubbing compound out there..the trick is your buffer and hard work. You have to press fairly hard.

Personally I use 3m super duty rubbing compound. then when its luster is back I buff again using 3m Imperial compound.

Oh .. one other thing is your Pad. Use a white wool pad. The Yellow pads are for polish/glaze.

There is a product called Poli-Glow that you can apply over dull gelcoat that brings back the shine. It is supposed to last six months. The cool thing is that when it fades out again, you simply re-apply it.

Use Mop and Glow..Use any other Majic gel restore and your so killing your gel.

There is No EZ cure.

If you use some kind of Mopglow your ..erm.. done..

Use some penitrol or even transmission fluid.. It will shine .. not for long though..

Any Petrolium product will to the same.. just dont ask me to buff out your boat afterwards lol
