Best prop. 250 EFI?

This is what I have. 25' Cuddy. 5,000lb. Repowered with a 2000 Merc 250 single EFI. Old motor was a carb 225.
I used a Mirage three balde 15 1/2 x 16 on the 225. It turned the recommended 5,500 RPM.
I need to turn 5,800 on the 250 EFI. I do not care about top end speed. I want the most effective application for mid range cruising just above plane. I'm thinking four blade? What pitch & dia? Tx

I would suggest you look at the Merc Prop Selector at Mercury Marine.com - lookl under propellers.

There are quite a few choices that will work.

A four blade like the Rev4 or Vensura might be just the ticket. Looks like you would be at about a 17" pitch.

Maybe you could find a dealer with the try before you buy program in your area.
