I have a 1988 Gastron Carlson CV-23. It is 23.5 feet long and has a 350 magnum engine. It seems to be slow out of the hole. Top end it will do 55-60. The guy I bought it from said the prop was a stainless speed prop. I weigh 220 lbs so I need a prop that will give me the most power coming out of the hole on a slalom ski. Which pitch and blade configuration is the best?

Re: best prop for hole shots

not an expert but::Need a little more info.RPM at wot.
Pitch of present prop.A drop in pitch will give a better hole shot but may sacrifice speed could exceed max rpm if you aren't careful.
Give us those numbers.
I/Os tend to be a little slow planing.Be sure to trim in for hole shot.
Also smart tabs may help and not sacrifice speed. These also will help
handling at no wake speed.
