best prop for mercruiser 120???

Hi,
Just looking for some input on what would be the best prop size for a 1969 16' shasta dayboat. with a 120HP mercruiser with an m1 drive. right now its got a 16x17 three blade aluminum prop and doesn't seem to run correctly. engine at WOT is 3600 rpm... so what would you guys recommend

I'd suggest looking at the motor. It should be easily capable of spinning a 17.
