a 1989 19 foot sunbird cuddy (SPL194) with a 89 Johnson 110

I currently have 2 props that the seller gave with the boat both at 13 and 1/4

15p and 17p

The 15 is what I use to tube people and the 17 is what I user for normal boating, I believe the top speed with both props when planed out is 32 - 33 per (blackberry gps) is this about right for this boat? my rpm's at this speed are at 5k does this sound about right?

Is there anyway to get more top speed at a lower rpm on this boat with the 110?

Re: Best prop for

Well the only way to tell if the prop is right is the RPM at WOT, as fast as she will go, trimmed properly etc The 17P should have a lower WOT RPM and the 15P should be higher. Boat speed may be the same, but RPM should not . . .

You may want to go to the O/B forum and find out where that motor run's best @ WOT, then make a run noting your tach speed and mph post back and your responses will be much better..or more informative, unless WH want's to take a shot in the dark
