best reeds for a V-4????

I have a 89 100 Johnny and a 86 110 Rude, both motors are running pretty well. I was wondering if upgrading to boyesen reeds was worth it. Looks like they are about $130 plus shipping. I have heard there is also a less costly brand, which name I have forgotten, that is supposed to be as good. Any pros/cons would be helpful. I have heard you get a little more power and better fuel mileage, I just do not know if it is significant enough to shuck out the $$$ and take the time to do it. Thanks Sparkie

For performance, use Boyesen; for longevity, use OEM.
