best spark plugs?

I am new to the Yamaha forum. Over the years I have had several Merc
outboards- 90hp merc in line 6, 50hp blue stripe, and a merc 90hp 3cyl- but
I have just purchased my first Yamaha. It is a 1999 C150TLRX on a 1999
Sprint 280pro. When I was going to replace my plugs on the 50 and 90hp
Mercs several people recommended NGK plugs, but with these plugs my outboards did not run smooth at idle like they did with the Champion plugs...
What original plugs are recommended for this Yamaha motor and what plugs
have you had the best experience with? I generally run about 5 to 8 miles
to my favorite fishing holes but during the striper season I also like to troll
slow moving baits. Any help would be appreciated... Also what I the best
operating RPM range for this motor? I am still waiting for the Service Manual.

I use NGK. 200 hours on the F150, every 5 years on the Pro 50.
