My 21' boats engine compartment was covered with dirt, grime, oil, grease, etc. and it looked terrible and I was ashamed of having a new reupolstered interior. So I was using a waster and dish soap solution to clean it but it was taking forever. I looked under the sink and found "Grease Lightning". I read the one gallon jug and said it would remove grease and grime without damaging any plastics. So I dug out some old car parts ( sparkplug wires, 12v wiring, intake manifold, 1 carb gasket, and a couple other things) to test for any deteration or degrade. I let it sit for a few minutes and rinsed it off with the hose as the bottle said and waited a week and everything was fine I sprayed the stuff on it and left it their for a couple days and it was perfectly fine. I sprayed the whole compartment with grease lighting and waited 2-3 minutes, rinsed it off with the hose. It looks almost brand new!!! The wiring was covered in grime and was all black now it was viberent and colorful. The bilge was covered in ATF when the hose bursted for the powersteering. It was clean and smelled bland. The only downfall is it dewaxs surfaces. Safe on fiberglass to!!! It's been a week so far and nothing bad has happened. I don't know if they still make it but it's the best. Grease Lightning!!!

I use Grease Lightning all the time. For stuff like the bilge I use it 100%. Other, less nasty areas, I cut it 50/50 with water.

Never tried it, I've been using Super Clean and it sounds like they both work about the same.
