Best value engine

Replacing a 115 hp, 2 stroke. What would say is the best value engine as a replacement.

Agreed JB-<br /><br />Dollar per horse power, Tohatsu/ Nissan 2 strokes are by far the best buy out there. You can easily get a Tohatsu or Nissan in that horse power range for alot less than anyone else. <br /><br />If you are looking used/ refurb or new carry overs, check out IBoats!

Your best value would be to find an engine about 1 - 5 years old that has been used several days per year and maintained/winterized by a person who is both conscientious and can afford to do what needs to be done. This engine will be as good as a brand new one and cost about 50%. JMHO!

Mercury 115 HP 2 stroke Carbureted I beleive is cheaper then the Tohatsu 115 HP 2 stroke Carbureted.

I would buy any omc 2 stroke carberated.<br />What make do you own? You can save your controls on same motor.
