What is the best wax for protecting the paint from oxidation due to UV rays?

I have used starbrite the last couple of years and like it. Was able to get it at the local true value.

So true! I use Meguires, and I like it. ;)

To the OP, any wax will help keep the UV's off the gel, but you need to wax often!

Wax or polymers are a sacrificial layer by design. UV, salt, dirt abraision will take the best of them off in 6 months at best. The best route is a good deep cleaning buffing to get the surface flat and free of oxydation and a strict regimen of waxing to protect the surface. Once it gets away from you, you get to start over. A good full cover will help reduce oxydation while in storage.
Nothing topical like wax or polymer truly lasts very long, the key is regular application over a maintained surface.
