Hey Everybody,

Any body have a fast easy way to remove 20 year old exhaust manifold gasktets? For what it's worth the engine is a 4.3 liter V-6 and it's still in the boat.
These bad boys are ON THERE. Looks like I'd even have a hard time with a gasket scraper.

It takes persistence. Whatever you do though don't use any power tools. I used some gasket remover solvent, let it soak up and with a variety of scrapers and sandpaper it'll come off. Have patience. It'll take time.

Oh and I forgot to mention, make sure you plug up the block with some rags or paper towels. You don't want anything getting in there while sanding/removing. When you're all done take a shop vac to it to be sure nothing fell inside.
