The mid-drive shaft bearing on the 225 is apparently lubricated by water from a small stream from the vertical water tube. I've read posts of this bearing galling and seizing up. It's been recommended to grease this area while the Lower unit is off. What seems to be the best grease to use and how often do you suggest it be lubed? I guess a grease that is resistant to being washed off and also provides long-term lubrication. I have some Quicksilver 2-4-C and also some old OMC anti-corrosion lube (very thick and tacky). Thoughts or experiences?? Honda has some good designs, but this seems like a bad one.
