BF25 model year

Serial number BAJL1000340. Any idea. I think early 90's but would like to know for sure and what the codes mean. Thanks

looks like a 1993...BAJL is the model code for that horsepower

Hi - There is no way to tell a Honda's year by it's serial number, they do come in sequence. The best way to tell is by the colouring and markings on the casings.

in 1993 the starting serial number for that model motor was BAJL-1000001 ...I think it's a pretty good bet they manufactured and sold 340 of those motors in one year...so-yeah 1993
