I have been trying to locate a replacment fuel line connector for my early 90's BF9.9A Honda outboard. All the connector I can find online look a bit different.

Does anyone know a good source?

Also, does anyone have a parts list for the motor. It would help a lot if I could order by the exact part number.

I read another threat that claimed that the first Honda outboard fuel line connectors were actually Johnston/Evinrudes. Is that true?

I did but my gas tank looks different than the diagram. There is also no pitcure of the connector so I'm a bit nervous becasue... every Honda connector I've looked at online and in stores is a bit different from mine.

So what do I do? Buy it and try it sight unseen?

Heres the deal.A few years ago Honda did away with the round fuel connectors and obsoleted them. That means that you will have to bite the the bullet and ugrade to the new square connector at the price the dealer asks for the set. Those round connectors are getting hard to come by so it might be time to step up.All this because people ca'nt have the pressent of mind to plug in that connector properly.

Ahh . . . obsolete . . . that makes sense because I looked everywhere and couldn?t find it.

I think you?re right. There is a local marina near my lake. I?ll see if I can get a matched pair of connectors (motor and fuel line).
PS Beyond misuse, wear and tear there is an age issue. The elastomers often get hard with age and can crack.
Thanks? I think this tread is done.
