I have a question you guys might be able to answer. I have a new Stratos 176XT and a 25HP merc 4 stroke. From the Factory is does ok, 20 mph with my gear and my wife. Stratos mounted the motor down on the transom from the factory with a 8 pitch prop, runs 6000 rpm like this. If i raise the motor up two holes on the transom, to get the cavation plate even with the bottom, and go to a 9.5 pitch prop, do you think i can get some more top end?
Open to ideas...

Ditch the wife... You may get a little more speed... and couldn't hurt your planing time.... Fuel efficiency... I'm sure we could come up with a decent list.
