Anyone hear about RFID?
(Radio Frequency Identification)

SpyChips.com RFID

I never paid any attention to this, but when I found out a local company will be involved, it got my attention.

I understand the good intentions of the RFID, but do you really think our government will stop there?

They can put those little tags ANYWHERE. They are very tiny. Any time the tags come close enough to the antenna (reader), they take information.
Imagine walking into a store and having your entire inventory of your person taken instantly.

This is going WORLDWIDE, not just to your local Wallyworld.

I might be OK with it IF there was a way to destroy the tags once you purchase an item.
I'm sure there will be handheld scanners a person can buy to locate (and destroy) the tags.

Imagine those little tags inside of your favorite ammo? Now they know YOU bought ammo, type, caliber, when and where.
What if you purchased an unusual amount of those little sandwich baggies. People use them for all sorts of things (most notably: drugs and dope)... Now you are on a list of possible drug dealers.

Then there's the chips you can have installed in your arm for security of your credit card.
Talk about "mark of the beast" !!!
What happens when the thug chops your arm off and drains your bank account? Do you call the credit card hotline and ask for another arm?

LOL!

But seriously folks, RFID is some SCARY stuff.
Be aware!

H.

I'm sure it will soon be a federal offense to destroy or interfere with those tags.

NIXON came to delaware one time & one time only.. flew in on a chopter... landed on john rollins estate.. the owner of the upstart ' rollins cablevision' ( now comcast )... spent 20 min. an flew off..

now most every household has cable... they send you a picture... most activities are around a runnin' tv set..................

wow
a federal offense. that will scare off a lot of people. it will also create a whole new federal department. but on the good side maybe I can be the director for life and grab a 100K a year salary with another 50K a year in perks. sounds good to me lets do it
Good luck and always remember the government that governs best governs least

Next question is...

Will you continue to shop at WallyWorld when they have RFID in place?

I like WallyWorld. Decent product, and cheap.

RFID is here, like it or not. It's entirely possible you already have the ID tags.

I'm not sure what I will do when it gets to our local store. I think for now is to just learn as much as I can about it.

H.
