What do y'all think abou the new airport security measures?<br /><br />This was in my local paper today:<br /><br />Aviation Security <br />August 1, 2003 - 8:12AM <br /> <br />Government rolling out computerized passenger screening program <br /><br />(Washington-AP) -- A revised system that measures each air <br />passenger's potential as a security threat will protect privacy -- while making travel easier and safer. This is according to Transportation Security Chief James Loy. <br /><br />But critics still worry about the potential for snooping. The government announced it will begin testing the Computer <br />Assisted Passenger Prescreening System. It would flag passengers <br />deemed potential security risks after checking their identities <br />against government databases. <br /><br />Critics, like Oregon's Senator Ron Wyden, say the revised plan <br />doesn't satisfy concerns about government snooping. Wyden says it is one of the biggest efforts the government has made to sift through information on ordinary citizens. <br /><br />Loy says most people will simply be told "Have a nice flight" <br />after they've been checked in. <br /><br />H.

This is ridiculous. We're doing nothing but dancing around the facts for fear of the mighty PC.<br /><br />We know what the terrorists look like. They aren't six year old children. They are not 70 year old men in wheelchairs. They are not mothers with two babies in a stroller.<br /><br />If we simply "profiled" what we are looking for, none of this nonsense would be needed.

The Demirats have taught me that it is more important to feel good than to insist on the truth, so I will go along in life and be happy.
