Tell us about the significant events you've been to.

Here's some I've seen in Arlington:
7/28/94, Kenny Rogers' perfect game;

May 1991, Nolan Ryan's 7th no-hitter;

August '89, Nolan Ryan's 5000th strikeout (Ricky Henderson)

June 1989, I saw two pitchers whose combined ages totalled 85 win both games of a double header: Nolan Ryan (age 43) in game 1 then Charlie Hough (42) won game 2.

August '93, the best fight I ever saw at a baseball game, Ryan vs. Robin Ventura - here's a pic

And I very nearly saw a riot in St. Louis, August '98: McGwire was on track to break the homerun record, a friend & I flew up for a game. McGwire struck out in the first inning; started jawing at the ump who ejected him. The next foul ball into the stands came back out onto the field...after a few seconds here comes another baseball...then another. Turns out it was baseball day for kids under 12. They cleared the field, players & umps went to the locker rooms, security guards came out, the announcement was made that the game would be forfeited if people kept throwing baseballs onto the field. They eventually finished the game.

Saw "the shot heard 'round the world" by Bobby Thompson at the Polo Grounds. Think it was 1951, when the Giants started Sept. 13 games behind Brooklyn and Thompson's homer in the bottom of the 9th beat the Dodgers for the pennant in a playoff.

The most dramatic moment I ever saw in sports, live or on TV.

Wasn't a professional sports game...It was this year when my son's school, one of the smallest AA private schools in the state, played Jackson Prep, one of the largest AAA privates schools in the state, for Prep's homecoming. Canton Academy went in the game huge underdogs. It was a really good close game. Canton woundup winning by a field goal.

As far as pro events....I guess the biggest one I witnessed first hand was when Earnhardht Jr. won his first Cup race at Texas.
